J.R. Smith's visionary and encyclopedic book. First published in 1927, revised and enlarged in 1953 (the edition linked here) and reprinted in the 1970's and 80's. Smith has rightly inspired generations of agroforester's and permaculturalists. You _will_ learn about tree crops you've never considered if you read this gem.
