A great source for more information about the new hazelnut varieties and how to grow commercially.

A visionary project to achieve the full potential of hazelnuts

 

The University of British Columbia Farm has an agroforestry web site  where you can find a production development tool for alley cropping hazelnuts and strawberries. Their notes for developing the tool (here), provide good information for how to plan a new orchard.


Perennia Innovation Centre is a Crown Agency promoting agricultural innovation in Nova Scotia. They have produced a fact sheet on nut orchards in general and one on hazelnuts in particular.

Web site of the Oregon Hazelnut Marketing Board with information for growers and the interested public.

These folks do it all: produce trees, grow nuts, process and make candy and nut butter. An exemplary farm. Located in Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
